PHILIPPINES, FEBRUARY 2011 – ABS-CBN is set to launch a one-two punch this February with new shows in the hotly contested primetime and noontime slots.
The Price is Right, based on the US game show and hosted by Kris Aquino, premieres on ABS-CBN on February 14, Aquino’s 40th birthday. The 630pm timeslot brings it head to head with Willie Revillame’s Willing Willie on TV5 and pushes back TV Patrol to 8pm. The Price is Right ran on ABC 5 for three years a decade ago.
A new noontime variety show, Happy Yipee Yehey!, premieres on Channel 2 on February 12, going up against the long-running Eat Bulaga! on GMA 7 for the lunchtime audience. The show’s talents include Jobert Austria, Bentong, Melai Cantiveros, John Estrada, Toni Gonzaga, Bianca Manalo, Sam Milby, Mariel Rodriguez, and Randy Santiago. Showtime will move back to its morning timeslot.
