After the preliminary judging last Wednesday, NokiaCinemaiksi chose five teams who attended a one-day workshop today with Cannes Filmfest Best Director Brillante Mendoza and Palanca winning screenwriter and creative director Lilit Reyes.

His advise to the finalists, " your work must be sincere, but I cannot teach you that," he added.
Mendoza, on the other hand, revealed that as a director, he does not motivate the characters, "because (I) don’t know how. I don’t give them the script, so the actors arrive as the character, and not as actors."

"The Nokia N-series devices technology can really make [film-making] come to life," said Sandeep Khanna, Nokia Country Marketing Head.
"We had an exciting workshop where Reyes and Mendoza told the newbies how to do film-making, and I am sure they will walk away with film making tips they can use. We hope this habit comes to enrich lives, and film-making to take root from the evangelists of this program," he added.
