Ostlund is DDB Japan’s new director of behavior planning

ASIA-PACIFIC – TOKYO, JAPAN, AUGUST 23, 2010 – DDB has announced the appointment of Johan Ostlund as Director of Behavior Planning in Japan. A newly created role, Johan’s appointment comes on the back of DDB Group Japan’s growing international business which includes Lipton, Volkswagen, McDonald’s, and Nikon. 
 
Takashi Takeda (TT), President & CEO of DDB Group Japan said, “Johan comes to Japan with extensive experience and knowledge on multinational business. He has also worked with DDB in four markets so he brings an international flair ingrained in DDB culture.”
 
As director of behavior planning, Johan is responsible for strategic planning and brand strategy for DDB Group Japan’s international clients — identifying insights and opportunities to communicate and connect within a Japanese context. 
 
Originally from Sweden, Johan has more than 10 years experience in marketing and communications. He has worked across many industries including food & beverages, finance, and FMCG with major brands such McDonald’s, Nestle, Capital One and Eurocard (the Nordic market leader in the corporate card business).
 
Johan has also worked with DDB in Stockholm, London and Hong Kong. Immediately prior to his role in Japan, Johan was regional planning director for McDonald’s Asia Pacific.
