Param Saikia comes to JWT Malaysia as CEO

ASIA-PACIFIC – KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA – DECEMBER 15, 2010  -JWT Asia Pacific President Michael Maedel officially announced the appointment of Param Saikia as CEO, JWT Malaysia, replacing Subhendu Mukherjee, who will relocate to JWT Indonesia in a return to strategic planning-a role he both misses and is passionate about–as strategic planning director for the office.

Saikia joins from iris Worldwide where he was CEO of their India operations. He is no stranger to JWT as he got his start in the industry with JWT Delhi back in 1987.  Since then, Saikia has sat on the Executive Committee of Grey, McCann, Euro RSCG and Publicis, servicing blue-chip clients such as Nestlé, Coca-Cola, HP, Perfetti, Bacardi GM, Gillette, Intel, MasterCard, Sheraton, Reckitt Benckiser, amongst others.

As CEO of JWT Malaysia, Saikiawill partner with Edwin Leong, Deputy Chairman/ECD. His appointment will take effect January 2011.
