R/GA Singapore names first two directors

ASIA-PACIFIC — On the heels of opening R/GA Singapore in early May, R/GA announces its first key hires for its Asia-Pacific hub. Missy Devlin joins as group account director, and Ronnie Liew will serve as senior technology director. Hiring senior leaders is the first step in building out a multifaceted Singapore team to staff the MasterCard account, globally led by Yuri Salnikoff, managing director, client services, R/GA New York.

 
“We are thrilled to have Missy and Ronnie as our first hires in R/GA’s newest office. With their digital acumen and depth of experience, we are confident that they will be key contributors in the growth and success of R/GA Singapore as we build our capabilities for MasterCard,” said Salnikoff. 
 
Devlin has more than 20 years of experience driving global communications for consumers and businesses on both the client and agency side. She will lead the MasterCard Asia Pacific/Middle East/Africa account.
 
She comes to R/GA from INSEAD, one of the world’s largest business schools, where she was the global director of marketing. Previously, Devlin was the VP of marketing, Asia-Pacific and Japan, for APC-MGE, a division of Schneider Electric. She also served as the regional director, client services, for OgilvyOne Worldwide, where she managed high-growth client relationships with Nokia, Cisco, SAP, and American Express. In the U.S., Devlin was the VP, managing director, of Organic, where she not only built their Detroit office but also led the Daimler AG global account.
 
A Singapore native, Liew is a seasoned creative technologist with experience working for a wide range of global brands such as Nike, Visa, Nokia, HP, Xbox, and Gap. As senior technology director, he will lead R/GA Singapore’s technology offering and focus on building the foundation for R/GA’s engagement with MasterCard.
 
Prior to joining R/GA, Liew was an associate director, creative development, for AKQA San Francisco and interactive architect for XM Asia Pacific (owned by JWT)in Singapore.
 
Liew has won major industry awards for his work, including One Show Interactive Gold and Silver Awards, London International Awards, the Singapore Creative Circle Awards, and the Asia Interactive Awards. In 2009, Creativity magazine named Liew one of the ad world’s most inspired creative technologists.
