Bangkok-ADFEST – is delighted to announce that advertising legend Sir John Hegarty will return to Asia next year to judge The 3rd International Advertising CUP, which will take place in Thailand for the first time.
Sir John Hegarty attended ADFEST in March 2009 as Grand Jury President. Next year, he will represent the Asia Pacific region on THE CUP’s Jury Panel along with two of Asia’s most celebrated creative executives: Prasoon Pandey, Director at Corcoise Film in Mumbai, and Suthisak Sucharittanonta, Chairman & Chief Creative Officer at BBDO Bangkok.
“It is a real honor for ADFEST to host THE CUP to Asia and to invite Sir John Hegarty back to Thailand to share his knowledge with the region for the second year running. We are also honored to see two more of our 2009 Jury Presidents, Prasoon Pandey and Suthisak Sucharittanonta, return to judge THE CUP, which is unique to any other global advertising festival in the world,” says Jimmy Lam, ADFEST President.
As Worldwide Creative Director at BBH in London, Sir John Hegarty is a celebrated advertising executive thanks to his phenomenal success at the helm of BBH, which he founded in 1982. In 2007, he received a knighthood in the Queen’s birthday honours, and in 2008, he entered the New York Art Directors Club Hall of Fame.

Prasoon Pandey and Suthiasak Sucharittanonta are also two of Asia’s best-loved creatives. As director of Corcoise Film in India, Pandey has won countless awards and was ranked in the top 25 advertising directors in the world by The Gunn Report in 2001. Sucharittanonta is known as Asia’s most awarded Creative Director, with BBDO Bangkok ranking 8th in the Gunn Report’s list of Most Awarded agencies in 2004. This year at ADFEST, Pandey was Jury President of Film Craft & New Director, while Sucharittanonta was Jury President of Outdoor.
