Ogilvy & Mather appoints James Daniels as new regional ECD for Unilever

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, NOVEMBER 24, 2010 – SINGAPORE — Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific announced today the appointment of James Daniels as regional executive creative director for Unilever effective January 2011.

Daniels, most recently ECD and shareholder of Euro RSCG and Euro RSCG 4D Johannesburg, South Africa, will be based in Singapore. He has picked up metals from major award shows such as D&AD, Cannes Liones, Loeries, The One Show, CLIOs and London International Awards.

Commenting on the hire, Eugene Cheong, regional executive creative drector, Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific, said, “James is a rock star. He is one of South Africa’s finest and he completes the creative rejuvenation of Ogilvy Singapore. Not only will he be the creative lead on the all-important Unilever business, he will also be a very important part of the creative management of the Ogilvy Group in Singapore."
