Y&R Asia steps up PR drive with new strategic appointment

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, SEPTEMBER 22, 2010 – Y&R Asia has appointed Suzy Goulding as its Regional Communications Director to help raise the company’s business and industry profile at both a national and regional level. The newly created position reports direct to Y&R Asia President Matthew Godfrey.
 
Suzy joins Y&R fresh from freelancing for several months at Singapore-based agency, Fulford Public Relations.  
 
Prior to relocating to Singapore in January, Suzy ran her own UK-based PR consultancy, Goulding Public Relations, managing corporate communications for a client list which included Tesco Stores plc, the National Health Service and Newcastle City Council.   
 
Before establishing Goulding PR, Suzy held a number of senior PR positions in the UK, both in-house and agency-side, including managing UK PR for accounting software giant The Sage Group plc and leading communications campaigns for Procter & Gamble plc and Land Securities plc.
              
Commenting on the new role, Suzy said, “I am thrilled to be joining Y&R at a very exciting time for the company in Asia.  Key new business wins and award firsts for the agency across the region are strong indicators that Y&R are very much a force to be reckoned with in the industry in Asia and I am keen to get our good news out there.”

Suzy’s communications priorities will focus on building the Y&R brand across the region as an innovative powerhouse and thought leader within the advertising industry as well as establishing close working relationships with Y&R offices throughout Asia to maximize positive media coverage of new business wins, creative case studies, awards successes and senior appointments.
