As shown in the demographic profile on the report, more than half of mobile internet users are below 24 years of age and more than one-third possess graduate and postgraduate degrees. Frequent visitors of restaurants, shopping malls and movie theaters with high spending power are working professionals.

According to the report, mobile internet users are information hungry and dependent to mobile in fulfilling this need. It ranks apps and games as the most downloaded forms of mobile content.

The Philippines has a larger number of graduate and post-graduate mobile internet users  – the highest proportion of mobile internet users in the 18-24 category. Filipino mobile users also show strong interest to learn more about brands.

Rohit Dadwal, managing director of MMA Asia Pacific says: “Brands are keen to learn more about their growing mobile consumer base to enable a richer and more targeted experience. This increases the relevance of the message and therefore the willingness of the consumer to engage with the brand, both in the short and long term. We are delighted to partner with Vserv.mobi in providing brands and marketers useful insights, which will help them in making informed decisions on their mobile media spends.”
