MANILA – September 24, 2013 – Industry friends of Chiqui ‘Siki’ Mendoza and Lakihan Mo Logo present “Rockovery for Siki”, a benefit gig.
The gig is a celebration and fundraiser for Mendoza, a long-time office assistant of Y&R Philippines going through tough times as she battles an illness.
For the past 25 years, Mendoza has worked with advertising greats such as former AdBoard president Oscar Valenzuela, Grace Chong, Ompong Remigio, Leigh Reyes, and currently Badong Abesamis and Chiqui Lara, in their respective tenures with DYR Alcantara and Y&R Philippines.
Rockovery is a celebration of Mendoza’s years of outstanding service in advertising with performances from Callalily, Moonstar88, Dahong Palay, Steady Machine and Advertising Band of the Philippines.
Aside from musical performances, there will also be an auction of items donated by agency friends and celebrities, such as Artist Fabo, a former Y&R art director. Fabo will also serve as host for the night’s festivities.
Artists from Octopushink Tattoo Studio by Nero Nievo will also offer tattoo services at special prices at the venue. Proceeds of the benefit gig will be used to help cover Siki’s medical and hospitalization bills.
“Rockovery for Siki” is on September 27, 2013, Friday, 7 p.m. at Live Vibe in A.Venue in Makati City. Entrance to the event is P300.
