OMG Hong Kong promotes Deric Wong to top strategy post

ASIA-PACIFIC – HONG KONG, SEPTEMBER 2011: Omnicom Media Group, Hong Kong has promoted Deric Wong, formerly the Strategic Planning Director, to Head of Strategy and Insights for the organization. With his promotion, Wong will lead the consolidated team of Strategic Planning, Insights and Production under Omnicom Media Group, Hong Kong and play a pivotal role in enhancing the strategic planning capabilities for both OMD and PHD.

Wong will also work at a regional level with a remit that includes that of ETNA (PHD’s proprietary planning approach) champion for PHD Asia Pacific and PHD Greater China and being a member of Omnicom Media Group’s global creative council. He will report to Cheuk Chiang, PHD’s APAC CEO,
who leads both initiatives on these responsibilities.

Wong joined PHD in June 2008, and his role was expanded to cover both OMD and PHD in July 2010 as Strategic Planning Director of Omnicom Media Group, Hong Kong. His promotion is effective immediately.
