de la Cruz Ogilvy has been recognized as winner of Fast Company’s 2026 World Changing Ideas Awards for the creative work involved in the production of the “Glowing Relief” campaign. This annual recognition honors bold and transformative efforts that tackle the world’s most pressing issues—from fresh sustainability initiatives and cutting-edge AI developments to ambitious pursuits of social equity that are helping mold the world.
Now in its ninth year, the World Changing Ideas Awards celebrate organizations and projects that are delivering measurable impact across industries—from climate solutions and AI advancements to health, social justice, and beyond.
Created by de la Cruz Ogilvy in partnership with Alivia Health, Farmacias Plaza, and Alivia Home Delivery, “Glowing Relief” was designed to protect Puerto Rico’s aging population during recurring power outages. The initiative introduced the world’s first FDA-compliant phosphorescent prescription label, enabling patients to identify their medications in the dark without relying on batteries, flashlights, or electricity. By integrating this innovation into existing pharmacy workflows with no additional technology or training required, “Glowing Relief” has distributed more than 30,000 labels across the island, empowering older adults to manage their medications safely and providing greater peace of mind for caregivers.
The recognition adds to a milestone year for de la Cruz Ogilvy. The agency was recently ranked the #1 agency in Puerto Rico and #36 worldwide in the 2025 Effie Index, the global benchmark for marketing effectiveness. Published annually, the Effie Index identifies and ranks the most effective agencies, marketers, brands, networks, and holding companies by analyzing finalist and winner data from Effie Awards competitions around the world, making it the industry’s most comprehensive ranking of marketing effectiveness.
This year’s awards, featured on fastcompany.com, highlight 191 outstanding projects across 14 categories. A panel of Fast Company editors and reporters evaluated more than 1,500 entries based on their impact, sustainability, design, creativity, scalability, and ability to improve society.
“Glowing Relief demonstrates how creativity can become a force for good when it is grounded in empathy and designed to solve real problems,” said Carlos Thompson, President of de la Cruz Ogilvy. “We are honored to see an idea born in Puerto Rico recognized on a global stage, and we remain committed to creating work that delivers lasting value for both brands and the communities they serve.”
“This recognition highlights the importance of creating ideas that go beyond communication and generate meaningful change,” said Sebastián Bullorini, Chief Creative Officer at de la Cruz Ogilvy. “Seeing Glowing Relief improve medication safety for older adults across Puerto Rico is incredibly rewarding and reminds us of the positive role creativity can play in people’s lives.”
