Leo Manila, McDonalds’s Philippines, Merlee Jayme triumphs at 2025 Asia-Pacific Tambuli Awards

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Leo Manila emerged as the big winner at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Tambuli Awards held on June 3 at the Grand Hyatt Manila in Taguig City. The agency was named Agency of the Year, capping off a stellar night with a haul of major awards: one Bronze, two Silvers, one Gold, and the prestigious Grand Prix.

Taking home six Asia-Pacific Tambuli Awards, Leo Manila’s work for McDonald’s Philippines have been widely recognized throughout the night. Their award-winning campaign, “ReClassified,” transformed old materials from decommissioned furniture in McDonalds’s branches, into new school furniture that can be donated to public schools nationwide.

The campaign won two Silver Asia-Pacific Tambulis on the Champions for Humanity: Education and Lifelong Learning – Integrated Media and the Builders of Society: Advocacy – Integrated Media categories. It won Gold on the Masters of Everyday Purpose: Human Centric Solutions – Integrated Media category and the coveted Grand Prix on the Leaders for Corporate Purpose: Care for the Environment category.

It was a standout night for McDonald’s, which took home both Advertiser of the Year and Tambuli Company of the Year. GCash, under the leadership of Chief Marketing Officer Neil Trinidad, earned Marketing Team of the Year honors at the 2025 Asia-Pacific Tambuli Awards. In addition, Adi Timbol-Hernandez, Assistant Vice President for Corporate Relations and Impact at McDonald’s Philippines, was recognized as Corporate Communications Officer of the Year.

Filipina creative powerhouse Merlee Jayme received the inaugural Agency Leader of the Year award — a fitting tribute to her decades of brilliance and influence in the industry.

Mary Catherine Elizabeth Santamaria, Chief Customer and Marketing Officer at Bank of the Philippine Islands, was named Chief Marketing Officer of the Year for her transformative, customer-first leadership in the financial sector. Meanwhile, Agnes Isabelle Adviento, AVP and Senior Brand Manager for Nescafé & Starbucks at Nestlé Philippines, was recognized as Young Marketing Leader of the Year, applauded for her strategic brand leadership and dynamic approach to innovation.
