2025 Cannes Lions Innovation and Dan Weiden Titanium Lions shortlist unveiled

CANNES, FRANCE – The Cannes Lions has unveiled the shortlisted works on the Dan Wieden Titanium Lions and Innovation Lions categories. Work from across the globe will be judged, awarded and celebrated during the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, running from June 16 to 20, 2025.

2025 Dan Weiden Titanium Lions shortlist

The Dan Wieden Titanium Lions celebrate game-changing creativity, honoring work that breaks new ground, challenges industry norms and redefines the creative landscape. With their combined expertise, this distinguished group of creative visionaries will oversee the Festival’s most forward-thinking and boundary-pushing Lion.

Jury President Judy John, Global Chief Creative Officer, Edelman Global, a renowned creative leader with a legacy of breakthrough campaigns, has led work that has shaped modern brand communications. She was instrumental in Edelman’s achievement of a Titanium Lion in 2024 for “The Move to -15” on behalf of DP World, making Edelman the first legacy PR firm to receive this prestigious award.

Germany led the list with four shortlisted works, two of which are from Serviceplan Munich. The United States and France followed with three, while Brazil, Singapore, Italy, Ireland, Australia, India, and Ukraine scored one each.

Innovation Lions Shortlist

Led by Kickstarter Global Chief Marketing Officer Courtney Brown Warren, the Innovation Lions celebrate ground-breaking innovation, technology and problem solving. Solutions including tools, products, models, platforms and other forms of adtech will also be recognized, as well as creative campaigns utilizing new technology.

The United States topped the list with seven shortlisted works, followed by Colombia with four and France and the Netherlands with three each. Germany and Spain each had two, while Japan, the United Kingdom, Italy, Canada, Denmark, and Australia scored one apiece. Several entries were co-produced across countries, including notable collaborations between the Netherlands and Italy, and Spain and the United States.

Key Dates

Following the release of the Titanium and Innovation shortlists on June 3, the Glass shortlist will be announced on June 5. All shortlisted entries will be showcased on The Work on June 15 at 09:00 CET, and the Bronze and Silver winners will be revealed on the website at 14:30 CET the same day. Starting June 16, all winners will appear on The Work after the Awards Show concludes at approximately 22:00 CET.

Grands Prix for Good

  • Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Good will be awarded on Friday 20 June.
  • Lions Health and United Nations Grand Prix for Good will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on Monday 16 June.

Special Awards

  • Healthcare Agency of the Year and Healthcare Network of the Year will be announced on Monday 16 June.
  • Media Network of the Year will be announced on Wednesday 18 June.
  • Regional Networks of the Year will be announced on Thursday 19 June.
  • All other Special Awards will be announced on Friday 20 June.
