2025 Branded Entertainment Grand LIA: The Final Copy of Ilon Specht by L’Oréal Paris

Branded Entertainment honors advertising that is cleverly disguised as entertainment. The jury recognized excellence with a Grand LIA, six Gold, five Silver and two Bronze Statues, plus four Finalists. The Grand LIA was awarded to McCann Paris, picking up their second Grand LIA for their innovative work The Final Copy of Ilon Specht produced for L’Oréal Paris.

The Final Copy of Ilon Specht is an intimate deathbed account of the unsung advertising genius who coined L’Oréal Paris’ iconic Because I’m Worth It slogan in 1971, a four-word feminist manifesto that, against all odds, changed advertising forever.  A tribute to Ilon, the woman and McCann agency copywriter who boldly challenged the norms of her time, daring to creatively go where no beauty company or adman had ever gone before, from the two-time Oscar® winning director Ben Proudfoot.
