MANILA, PHILIPPINES – The PLDT Group secures its fifth Company of the Year title at the 60th Anvil Awards last January 30 at the Manila Hotel.
Comprised of brand teams from ePLDT, PLDT Enterprise, PLDT Home, PLDT Global, Smart Sports, and TNT, the PLDT Group bagged two Gold and 12 Silver Anvils for its key initiatives in brand and corporate communications, community relations, corporate citizenship, customer experience, cybersecurity, and data privacy.
“We are honored to be recognized once again by the PRSP for our programs that foster meaningful connections and create lasting impact in the communities we serve. This recognition reaffirms PLDT and Smart’s unwavering commitment to excellence in communication and nation-building,” Former PLDT and Smart Public Affairs head and Communications Consultant Ramon R. Isberto shared in a statement.
The Company of the Year honor is awarded to the organization with the highest quality of entries and the greatest number of accumulated points based on the value of each Anvil trophy received. The PLDT Group has held the title since the 56th Anvil Awards in 2021.
“We share this honor with our employees, partners, and stakeholders, whose passion and collaboration continue to drive our initiatives for a digitally inclusive Philippines,” Ramon added.
PLDT and Smart won Gold Anvils for:
- Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) Bootcamp, a workshop designed to boost employee competencies in integrating data protection principles into the design process of PLDT and Smart systems, programs, products and services.
- TNT Petmaloop Challenge, a branding and communication campaign where a single TNT-powered smartphone was relayed across 33 TikTok creators nationwide, livestreaming continuously for 26 hours across beaches, mountains, and fields—earning TNT the Guinness World Record for Longest Travel Livestream.
“The Anvil Award is a recognition not only of the quality of work but also of the impact of programs across communities and industries. It is about creating meaningful change through well-crafted, thoughtful, and strategic PR campaigns,” 60th Anvil Awards Chairperson Paul Michael S. De Quiros said during the opening ceremony.
PLDT Group’s affiliate, Maya, won four Silver Anvils.
Regarded as the “Oscars of Philippine PR,” the Anvil Awards is the highest recognition for outstanding public relations campaigns, programs, and institutions that have made a significant impact in the country. Organized annually by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), this year’s edition received the highest number of entries in its history.
