BANGKOK, THAILAND – The Advertising Association of Thailand (AAT) is activating “humanity” to challenge AI and ignite creative power from all sectors. AAT is set to launch Adman Awards & Symposium 2025 with the theme “The Future of Advertising is Humanity,” on November 19 to 20, 2025 at Samyan Mirtown Hall.
The event will gather marketers, advertisers, entrepreneurs, students, and more, and provide a platform for them to gain knowledge, be updated with global trends, and celebrate some of the best campaigns for this year.
The two-day event will be divided into three main stages: “Love-Greed,” “Envy-Passion,” and “Courage-Faith.” Attendees will be treated to 33 seminar topics and 10 workshops. The event emphasizes “humanity” as the core of modern advertising amidst technological and AI waves disrupting the business world.
“For over 30 years, the Association has been committed to driving the advertising industry as a crucial force for the economy and society through knowledge exchange and the celebration of creative works. This year, the business and creative worlds are facing significant changes due to technology, especially the increasing role of AI. Therefore, ‘Adman Awards & Symposium 2025’ aims to reiterate that what cannot be replaced is ‘humanity’ – including emotions, feelings, and beliefs – which give creative work life and meaning,” Rati Panthawi, President of the Advertising Association of Thailand, said.
Over 33 sessions, 10 workshops to enjoy this year
“We are fully prepared for two days of three-dimensional seminars: ‘Love-Greed,’ ‘Envy-Passion,’ and ‘Courage-Faith,’ opening a space to explore the essence of humanity and the driving forces behind creativity. This is not just about discussing business trends, but about revisiting the question of how ‘humans’ will use technology to continue creating work that genuinely connects with people. Whether you are in marketing, advertising, or simply interested in business communication, this event is a platform to spark and develop your ideas,” Rati added.
On the other hand, Chalinee Hirano, Ph.D., Deputy Managing Director & Chief Strategy Officer of Far East Fame Line DDB Public Company Limited, and Chairman of Adman Awards & Symposium Working Committee 2025, gave more insights about the theme, noting that it “emerged from a critical contemporary challenge: finding a balance between humans and machines. AI may work quickly, accurately, and streamline processes, but nothing can replace the value of human emotions, feelings, and ethics. This year’s symposium invites everyone to reflect on how advanced technology only becomes meaningful when used to connect, inspire, and build trust among fellow humans.”
33 sessions and 10 workshops will cover a variety of topics such as “Is award-winning creativity driven by love or greed?”, “The Power of Love in Storytelling,” “Music Passion: Unbound Creativity,” “The Limits of AI: What can — and can’t — be automated,” as well as workshops like “Humanized Design in Action” and “Humanize AI in Content Creation.”
“This is not just a seminar, but a convergence of creative power from all sectors — including agencies, marketing, advertising, brands, artists, production houses, SME entrepreneurs, and even students — to collectively write a new future for the Thai advertising industry. Everyone who wants to update trends and understand the future of marketing communication should not miss this,” Chalinee added.
New categories have been added
For this year, two new categories have been added to the awards night: the Non-Branded Entertainment which tackles the integration of entertainment and brand communication, and Creative Commerce which connects strategy all the way to actual sales.
According to Torsak Chuenprapar, Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer of Wolf BKK, and Chairman of Adman Awards Judging Panel 2025, these categories will measure and drive the industry forward.
To elevate the standards of Thai work, this year’s judging and deliberation is said to be more rigorous.
Regarding AI, Torsak believes it simplifies and speeds up complex processes, but without a human touch, the work will lack vitality, and consumers may not connect with the brand. This presents a challenge for advertisers, who must balance technology with the human heart. They also need to use AI quickly and accurately without sacrificing meaning and creativity. As technology and data are increasingly used, many works are starting to look similar. Therefore, everyone should refocus on “real humans” since understanding the deepest desires and needs is where advertising can truly connect with consumers.
“Thai advertising has potential on the global stage, evident from many international platforms where foreigners are highly impressed by the uniqueness and flavor of Thai advertising in terms of ideas and creativity. Adman 2025 will be an important platform to further this potential. It is also an opportunity for the new generation to showcase their creative power together. I am confident that everyone will gain inspiration and new perspectives from this event,” Torsak added.
