Lowe Malaysia builds up Utropolis

ASIA-PACIFIC – MALAYSIA, MARCH 17, 2013 – Lowe Malaysia, with client Paramount Property (Glenmarie), has branded the forthcoming live, learn and play integrated development at Malaysia’s Shah Alam, "Utropolis".

Lowe Malaysia will be working on through-the-line communications throughout the phases of the development. The work was awarded to Lowe following a credentials presentation.

The 21-acre Utropolis, which will comprise educational, business, retail and residential components, is set to transform Shah Alam’s Glenmarie district from an industrial area into a vibrant hub. The ‘U’ of Utropolis signifies "university", as this development draws its inspiration and energy from the KDU University College that anchors it. The logo hints at the pages of an educational book.

Chan Jy Mei, head of sales and marketing at Paramount Property (Glenmarie) said: “Education lies at the heart of this development. Once completed, the full estate will be a modern University town and the brand was to convey all of this, in the simplest way possible. And it has done so perfectly. We’re looking forward to working with Lowe on the next phases of the development.”

Mazuin Zin, managing director, Lowe Malaysia adds: “This provides Lowe with an opportunity to expand our expertise into a new category – property. We are privileged to be part of the whole birth of this development – by coming up with the name, logo design, and right through to the communications materials. This demonstrates how Lowe is evolving and expanding its capabilities and at the same time staying true to its belief of “IDEA at the core of everything we do.”
