Grey and OMD scoop top SPH iink Award honors

ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, AUGUST 5, 2013 – Grey Group Singapore and OMD emerged as the biggest winners of the Singapore Press Holdings iink Awards, respectively bagging the Creative and Media Agency of the Year honors.

Grey’s haul included a Grand Prix for client Procter & Gamble’s Duracell brand, two Gold, one Silver and one Bronze awards. Duracell’s ‘The Return/Dog/Doll/Robot’ also nabbed Gold in the Print Single for ‘Robot’, and Print Campaign, English categories.

“At the start of the year we set down a goal to do our best work on our biggest brands. That’s really worked. It goes back to the Grey motto of doing famously effective work. But this is not possible without talented people and teamwork – both of which Grey Singapore can boast of,,” said Grey Group Singapore chief creative officer Ali Shabaz.

The other Gold winners in the 10-award competition were SPH Creative Services’ ‘Marigold Dawn Milk’ for Malaysia Dairy Industries, Mandate Advertising National’s ‘Obitcheery – Chinese’ for the Lien Foundation and DDB Singapore’s ‘Samurai is Back!’ for McDonald’s.

DDB Singapore’s ‘Healthy Lifestyle Index’ was judged the ‘Best’ in the digital competition, 3-Sixty Communications’ ‘Volvo Holiday’ in radio, SPHMBO’s ‘The world’s best regional airline’ for Garuda in out-of-home and Dentsu Young & Rubicam for ‘Upgrade Singapore’ took Gold in the SPH is ON Campaign category.

OMD featured in a number of Gold wins such as ‘Samurai is Back!’, ‘Upgrade Singapore’ and ‘Healthy Lifestyle Index’, helping it secure the Media Agency of the Year prize.

This year’s Readers’ Choice Award was won by Urban Forest Design for ‘Lottery Scam’ created for the Singapore Police Force & National Crime Prevention Council.
