Masato Mitsudera appointed ECD at Beacon/Leo Burnett Tokyo

ASIA-PACIFIC – TOKYO, JAPAN, APRIL 5, 2012: Beacon/Leo Burnett Tokyo appointed Masato Mitsudera as executive creative directors effective April 1.
Among Mitsudera’s accolades are the 2009 Cannes of the Grand Prix in Promo/Activation category and the Gold Lion in the PR category for the “Yubari Fusai Project,” aimed at revitalizing the financially challenged Yubari City.
A the age of 36, Mitsudera;s promotion is considered as a signifcant promotion of a young talent . He has participated in several award shows such as Cannes, CLIo, and Adfest.
In the nine years since he joined beacon/Leo Burnett Tokyo, he has produced many strong campaigns for local and global brands such as McDonald’s, Meiji Confectionary, Home-tutoring Try, Onitsuka Tiger, Japanet Takata, Keio Railways, etc. 
Nicolas Menat, president and representative director, beacon/Leo Burnett Tokyo, commented on the appointment: “The objective behind this new assignment is to create a leadership structure which will support us in building the brand’s Human Purpose, changing people’s behavior through beacon’s creatives’ unique and effective ideas.”
