ASIA-PACIFIC – SINGAPORE, APRIL 3, 2013 – Cross-platform solutions provider Nimbuzz has launched the World’s first mobile-based Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) Preparation Package for GRE aspirants through the interactive game-based Nimbuzz GRE Chat Buddy.
In partnership with CL Educate Ltd. Career Launcher, Nimbuzz leveraged its mobile platform and wide reach among the students fraternity for developing GRE Chat Buddy, CLRocks. Career Launcher has played an instrumental role in providing the content for this education-focused chat buddy.
“In India, majority of the youth population does not have access to computers, and mobile devices with Internet connectivity have bridged the divide. We have realized that students have been spending immense time on mobile. Hence, we designed GRE buddy to engage the students more intensely with the education system,” said Vikas Saxena, chief executive officer at Nimbuzz.
“In many parts of the country, access to education-focused infrastructure for higher studies is still restricted. The mobile platform has the potential to bridge this restriction with its reach across geographies and demographics. This initiative will provide us the platform to connect with more than 20 million users in India with Nimbuzz GRE Buddy, CLRocks,” added Satya Narayanan R, Chairman, CL Educate Ltd.
Nimbuzz GRE Chat Buddy comes in three parts: Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing. The module has not only opened up learning process for the GRE aspirants but made it engaging with a ranking process on the leaderboard, designed for this buddy. The leader board provides the ranking on percentile basis and Nimbuzz will also award top three participants. The participant will also be able to keep a track on his personal progress.
The tournament was opened to Nimbuzz users yesterday (April 2) at a free cost.
