GLOBAL, 20 MAY 2013 – Phil Talbot, ZenithOptimedia chief executive for Asia-Pacific, has announced that he is to resign from the network at the end of August. He will remain in the region and is to become an independent consultant to Asian firms.
Having led ZenithOptimedia for nine years, Talbot is one of the longest-serving CEOs in the region. ZenithOptimedia has not yet announced his replacement. Steve King, the network’s worldwide chief executive, said that he would remain with the network for the next three months to help ensure a smooth transition.
Talbot said that although he was proud of the growth ZenithOptimedia had enjoyed during his time as chief executive, it was time for him to move on. In a statement issued by the agency, he added that moving forward, he intends to actively involve himself in some of the entrepreneurial opportunities that appear daily in the Asia-Pacific region and, by doing so, continue to be a part of Asia’s economic success.
