THE PHILIPPINES, MARCH 13, 2012: The International Associations of Business Communications (IABC) Philippines has elected its new board of trustees. IABC Philippines is the first country chapter established outside of North America of the San Francisco-based IABC, one of the largest business communication organizations in the world with more than 15,000 member-professionals in over 80 countries
The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) is a global network of communication professionals committed to improving organizational effectiveness through strategic communication. Established in 1970, IABC serves more than 15,000 members in over 80 countries.
The elected officers are as follows:
Chairman – Elpi O. Cuna, Jr., Consultant, San Miguel Corporation to also head Sponsorship
President – Ritzi Villarico Ronquillo, Regional Director for North Asia, IABC and Communication and PR Consultant to also head International Affairs
Vice President – Kane Errol Choa, Corporate Affairs and Public Relations Head, ABS-CBN as Vice President to also head the 2012 Philippine Quill Awards
Secretary – Owen Cammayo, External Relations Head, IBM Philippines as Secretary to also head Digital Communications
Treasurer – Jeffrey Tarayao, President, One Meralco Foundation to also head the 2012 CEO EXCEL Awards;
Internal Auditor – Marvin Tort, Project Director, Think Tank, Inc. to also head Good Governance

Sherryl Yao, Public Service Head, TV5 as Membership Committee chair
Claire Papa, External Communications Head, United Laboratories, Inc. as Resource Committee head
Rosan Cruz, AVP, Lopez Holdings, Inc. as Professional Learning Committee head
Joe Zaldarriaga, External Communication Head, Meralco as Media Relations and Publicity Committee head
Ex-officio Trustee is Carmencita Arce, Executive Director, Philippine Business Center, Inc. and immediate past president of IABC Philippines as Business Partnership Committee head.
Board of Advisers are IABC Philippines past presidents: Rey David, Jr., President, Great Wall Advertising, Inc.; Bong Osorio, Vice President and Corporate Communications Head, ABS-CBN Corporation; Veronica Tapia Merk, Consultant, Bank of the Philippine Islands and President, Laurel Media, and Cosette Romero, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Fleishman-Hillard Pte Ltd.
