TBWASMP’s ‘ t of Life’, people’s favorite at the Webby Awards

GLOBAL, MAY 2, 2013 – The crowd has spoken and TBWA\SMP’s ‘ t of Life’ has been crowned as People’s Voice winner among four other online commercials at the 17th Annual Webby Awards. It was the sole entry from the Philippines to make it as contender at the international award show which honors excellence on the Internet.

The winning spot was DDB New York’s ‘Hashtag Killer’, an integrated effort for Water is Life set out to raise awareness about serious global issues through refuting #firstworldproblems.

There are four single entries that will be inducted into Clio Hall of Fame: the ‘Coca Cola VIS’ by Turner Duckworth Design, Motel 6’s ‘Just Listen’ by The Richard Group, and Volkswagen ‘Snow Plow’ and ‘Think Small’ by DDB New York.

The Webby Award for Web Agency of the Year will be received Tribal DDB for being the most successful independent agency across all Webby categories. It has garnered eight Webby wins and 10 Webby nominations for various innovative and inspiring projects.

The Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to Steve Wilhite for inventing the file format. The ‘Obama for America 2012’ digital campaign – a "masterful combination of savvy political and tech genius" – is the Webby Breakout of the Year.

The awards will be presented on May 21 at Cipriani in Wall Street, New York City.
