MANILA, FEBRUARY 1, 2013 – Hot air balloons of all shapes and sizes will once again fill the skies of Pampanga as the 18th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta gets underway for another "Weekend of Everything that Flies".
This year’s fiesta, happening February 21 to 24 will be held at the OMNI Aviation Complex at the Clark Freeport Zone. Since 1994, the organizers of the Hot Air Balloon Fiesta have made it a point to offer something new each year. For 2013, the PIHABF along with partners Clark Development Corporation, Clark International Airport Corporation, Bases Conversion Development Authority and Department of Tourism will present another first in Philippine aviation as the fiesta brings the world-famous Breitling Jet Team to perform their precision aerobatic show to the Philippine audience for the first time.
The Fiesta will also feature 31 balloons from 15 countries with seven specially shaped balloons such as Humpty Dumpty, Space Shuttle and Tulip, among others. The fiesta will also feature aviation school displays, food booths, a fly market, the hot air balloon night glow, Original Pilipino Music Concerts and radio control Unidentified Flying Objects night flyers.
