For its part, Seven A.D. also won Best in Market Performance on top of its Independent Agency of the Year win.

Presented by the 4As Philippines, the AOY or Agency of the Year Awards were founded in 1997 and has the slogan of “the award that matters.” The chairman of this year’s AOY, Campaigns & Grey CEO Boboy Consunji proudly stated that, despite the skepticism that clients may have toward award-giving bodies such as the AOY for the honors they confer within the industry, “awards like the AOY matter because it works for us. It makes us strive harder to create excellent work in whatever field we enter.” He added that, “the AOY is there for us (the advertising industry) not to be lazy. Excellence adds more meaning to our lives as communications people.”

IPG Mediabrands Philippines also had an impressive haul by winning trophies for Media Excellence – Best in Management of Business, Media Excellence – Best in Creativity, and Best in Excellence – Overall Media. Dentsu Jayme Syfu also continued its winning ways to the calendar year by winning Best in Creative.

Best in Management of Business was awarded to BBDO Guerrero while Digital Excellence – Best in Production went to NuWorks. Ogilvy & Mather took home Activation Excellence – Best in Execution.

The production houses are never left out in AOY honors as Film Pabrika was given recognition in Production Excllence – Best in Film, Production Excellence – Best in Post Production was handed to Riot, Inc., while Production Excellence – Best in Audio went to HIT Productions.

Looking ahead to the 22nd AOY Awards, Consunji gladly passed the baton to Norman Agatep, President and Managing Director for Grupo Agatep, who promised to build on the momentum that Consunji generated for the year.
