Employees of Telus International Philippines raise PHP 2 million in support of DepEd and World Vision

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — Ensuring continuous learning of children in public schools can be achieved through the support of the community. This was demonstrated when digitally-enabled customer experience and IT company TELUS International Philippines recently turned over a PHP 2.35 million donation to World Vision and the Department of Education‘s “Abutin Na10″ fundraising campaign.

Through TELUS International Philippines’ “Share to Care” shirt drive, more than 7,300 employees raised the donation in support of Abutin N10’s education initiatives in Lanao Del Norte and other area programs (AP) of World Vision in the country.

“We are grateful to TELUS International Philippines for their support of our Abutin Na10 program. This will go a long way in giving our children access to the education they need to build a brighter future,” said World Vision Philippines National Director Rommel V. Fuerte.

It also has a fund granting foundation called TELUS International Philippines Community Board, which supports worthy causes to help communities with unique needs across the country. Since 2021, Abutin Na10 has mobilized its volunteer partners to raise funds for the children’s learning continuity plan.

That same year, PHP 1 million was raised for the AP in Cebu. In 2022, PHP 1.3 million was raised for AP Bohol plus another PHP 100,000 for Brigada Pagbasa (Virtual) for AP Manila. This year, PHP 167,000 has been raised so far for the ongoing Brigada Pagbasa (F2F) in AP Malabon.
