OMD/PHD pair dance their way to P500,000 worth of AXN spots in So You Think Your Ahensya Can Dance

PHILIPPINES, DECEMBER 3, 2010 – The excitement was obvious with all the balloons being waved and all the cheers of support echoing throughout Alpha Land Mall Penthouse last November 25 as seven media agency representatives vied for the title of “media agencies’ favorite dance duo” at So You Think Your Ahensya Can Dance
 
The prize for the event sponsored by AXN Philippines: P500,000 worth of airtime spots in AXN channels for the winning company, and $1,000 for the winning pair. Runner-ups were given P250,000 worth of airtime for the company they represented and $500 for the pair themselves. The genres danced during the evening ranged from hip-hop, ballroom, and contemporary. 
 
The contest itself was divided into the elimination round and the finals. For the elimination round, the agency dance duo had to dance their interpretation of a song of their choice related of an AXN show. For the finals, pairs were given several Hawaii Five-O theme song versions to play with and interpret for a dance number.

OMD/PHD pair of Ken Yodokawa and Gabbo Riel Agapito bested the other contestants with their well-executed stunts and moves. Runners-up were Maverick Media Solutions, Inc.’s Jovie Pacia and Khristine Asuncion (below, left)  and Zenith Optimedia’s Nestle Magno and Rouselle Pantua (below, right).

The dance battle was judged by dance legend Lito Calzado, Philippine Allstar Lema Diaz, and talented dancer, choreographer and son of well-known dancer Glenn Eugenio, Miggy Eugenio. 
 
Definitely a breather from all the numbers that media agency practitioners have to deal with everyday, it was a fun night for all who attended. The event was hosted by the charming Rovilson Fernandez who kept the crowed entertained throughout the night. Adding spice to the event were guest performers Philippine Allstars, winners of the World Hip-hop Dance Competition (Los Angeles) and International Hip-hop Open d’Italia (Turkey). 
 
Other contestants were Liz Tordesillas and Jovilyn Oliva of Carat Philippines, Anna Samia and TJ Jocson of Universal McCann, RX Contreras and Alex Atos of Maxus Global, and Ana Lyn Dioquino and Eric Cadiz of Media Force Vizeum.
