Ad Stars 2013 to showcase Jacques Séguéla’s works

ASIA-PACIFIC – SOUTH KOREA, AUGUST 21, 2013 – Aside from being one of Ad Stars 2013’s executive judges, French advertising giant Jacques Séguéla will be bringing 45 pieces of his works to Busan as part of the Ad Stars Special Exhibition on August 22-24.

This exhibition will highlight Seguela’s 43-year career in the advertising industry. His piecesdisplay the advertising that is universally understood, regardless of cultures or language.

Séguéla currently serves as chief creative officer and vice president of Havas. He started working in Havas as its director since 1992 and vice chairman since 2005.

His career started when he was 35 years old, after meeting Bernard Roux. Together, Séguéla and Roux established Roux Séguéla agency. Its first ad showed President Pompidou steering a Mercury motor-boat.

He published his first book on advertising entitled Don`t tell my mother I`m in advertising, she thinks I`m a pianist in a brothel, an autobiography and an ad industry love story. This was followed by theadventure taleHollywood washes whiter; It`s the method. Success comes with the campaigns; Citroënand the Chevrons sauvages; Dunlop and its welknown love-torture-test, Carte Noire a coffee.

At the age of 79, he has written 27 books, travelled 100 times throughout the world, and had taken part of 1000 campaigns.

Séguéla’s works will be screened at the Special Exhibition area at BEXCO Convention Hall.
