THE PHILIPPINES, JULY 10, 2012: TV5’s sports arm Sports5 will be bringing this year’s London Olympics to the Philippines as the event’s exlcusive Philippine free TV broadcaster.
As the official broadcaster, TV5 together with the network’s all-sports channel AKTV, and news channel AksyonTV will be the country’s window to London Olympics as it gathers the world’s best athletes from 147 countries to vie for the much coveted gold, silver and bronze positions. across 39 Olympic sports.
The opening ceremony will be aired live at 3:30 AM (Philippine standard time) on July 28. News during the event will be reported as they happen.
Cignal Digital TV subscribers will have the chance to see the Olympics in high-definition via its pay-per-view channels. Hyper, Sports5’s newest 24/7 all-sports channel on Cignal will also provide round-the-clock coverage of all the Olympic events.
The 2012 London Olympics will run from July 27 until August 12, 2012.
