Campaign Spotlight: ‘Happiness in Your Face’, Happiness Saigon unmasks smiles in Vietnam

HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM – The Happiness Saigon creative agency launches the initiative on World Smiles Day (02.10.2020) to put smiles back on the faces of people, while promoting good health and supporting UNICEF.

With people around the world donning masks to help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, an unfortunate side effect of this all-important safety measure is that it hides our facial expressions. Including the most important one of all — our smile.

As we adjust to living in the ‘new normal’, smiles are something we could all use a lot more of. And, with good health to maintain a strong immune system now more crucial than ever, we shouldn’t neglect the importance of smiling to keep us healthy. Or the importance of seeing others smile.

According to a study by Dr.Murray Grossan, a Los Angeles-based ENT-otolaryngologist, smiling not only lifts our mood, but also lowers stress, boosts our immune system, and possibly even helps us live longer.

So how can we get our smiles back now that they’re covered by a mask?

With World Smile Day being celebrated this week, creative agency Happiness Saigon has come up with a novel approach to the problem in Vietnam with the “Happiness in Your Face” project.

The agency created a specially-designed website (happinessinyourface.net) where you can smile your biggest smile into your camera and have it printed on a mask and delivered right to your door.

The unique mask, with your healthy smile on it, costs VND 50,000 (USD$2.17) which includes both printing and shipping, with all proceeds being donated to UNICEF.

“As even science has shown, a smile is something we can’t live without,” said Alan Cerutti, co-founder and CEO of Happiness Saigon. “We’re glad that we can do our part to reveal people’s smiles again while at the same time observing the healthy habits that keep us all safer.”
