Campaign Spotlight: Henry Golding Stars in His First Video Commercial in Singapore Since Crazy Rich Asians Success

SINGAPORE – Singlife, one of Singapore’s leading fintech insurers, today released its first video commercial featuring its recently appointed brand ambassador, Henry Golding.

The commercial marks the Hollywood-star’s first time representing a homegrown Singapore brand since his prolific success in films “Crazy Rich Asians”, “A Simple Favour”, “The Last Christmas”, “The Gentleman”, and much anticipated action-packed sequel to the G.I. Joe film franchise, “Snake Eyes”.

The video commercial was filmed and produced in Singapore’s CBD, as part of a brand campaign conceptualised and led in-house, with the support of 72andSunny and Applebox. It is now released online (Across Singlife’s Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube) with a series of Out-of-Home commercials to feature at outdoor spaces across Singapore, starting from April.

Henry Golding was selected as Singlife’s brand ambassador and talent not just for his breakout role in “Crazy Rich Asians” which connects him to Singapore and finances, but also his personal story which embodies the values of Singlife — where dreams, ambitions and desire to make a mark on the world are just as important, if not more than the wealth one generates.

From a hairdresser to a travel show host, to now a successful Hollywood star, Singlife believes Henry’s story of ambition and potential should also apply to the way we manage our money. As most of us are not born crazy rich either, Singlife can be our financial partner with new and innovative products that help us succeed and grow our finances over time.

Singlife’s flagship product illustrated by Henry Golding in the video commercial is the Singlife Account, an everyday insurance account that offers customers up to 2.5% p.a. returns and a free Visa debit card with no FX fees for overseas transactions.

Singlife Account is a capital guaranteed insurance savings plan. The plan is protected up to specified limits by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation.
