DM9’s Merlee Jayme to talk about gender diversity at Spikes Asia 2015

MANILA – Merlee Jayme, DM9 Jayme Syfu’s “Chairmom” and Chief Creative Officer, will be joining a panel of experts to talk about gender diversity in the workplace at Spikes Asia 2015.

The lack of women in senior roles in advertising has been a hot topic of discussion in recent years, but the issue is fast becoming top of the agenda. Only 3% of Creative Directors are women, which is slowly increasing, for instance in the US, where that number has risen to 11% over recent years – but there is still a long way to go.

Advertising shapes cultures, attitudes and the world we live in and creatives have a huge responsibility in creating a heterogeneous representation of the world in the media. And this starts with the creative talent in which we invest – to help create this view and shape the messages we put out there.
