Arcade Film Factory makes mark at Mad Stars 2023 with Silver and dual Crystal honors

BUSAN, SOUTH KOREA — Production house Arcade Film Factory has successfully converted three of its 12 finalists in MAD STARS 2023’s Film Craft Category into a Silver and two Crystals in its first time joining the global competition.

The three Film Craft metals secured by the production house were for its works GrabCar “Sorry” and “TNT Sim Registration Campaign” by director Marius Talampas with ideas agency GIGIL. Its biggest win came from the Film Craft > Use of Music category for “Sorry,” which creatively used VST & Co.’s hit song “Ipagpatawad Mo” to apologize for its now-faster booking times for Grab’s ride-hailing service.

The viral TNT film series for Smart Communications that encouraged Filipinos to register their sims also nabbed a Crystal in the Film Craft > Script category, while the “Pigeons” film within the award-winning series bagged a second Crystal in Film Craft > Direction.
