Campaign Spotlight: Old Spice Brings Isaiah Mustafa Back, in Two New Commercials, Created by Wieden+Kennedy Portland

After a decade, The Old Spice guy is now an Old Spice dad.

Isaiah Mustafa is back, in the newest Old Spice campaign “Smell Like Your Own Man, Man”, in celebration of their original commercial’s 10th year anniversary.


Wieden+Kennedy Portland, the creators behind the original iconic commercials back in 2010, is also making a comeback to extend the story of the Procter & Gamble brand from after-shave for dads, to body washes and styling products for millennial men.

In the two new 30-second spots, Mustafa will be playing as the over-the-top, embarrassing dad, with Straight Outta Compton star Keith Powers as his son.

Mustafa tries to impart his son some grooming advices, and Old Spice pointers, but Powers represents the Old Spice’s new Ultra Smooth Lineup, with a new subtler scent, and without the theatrics.
