Conversations with veteran creatives

THE PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 24, 2012 – Two creatives from the Philippines have been chosen to participate in the most-awaited London International Awards (LIA) 2012, which has commenced Saturday, September 22.

Donna Dimayuga, senior copywriter at DDB Philippines, and Corey Cruz, art director at BBDO Guerrero, will join 68 other young creatives from all over the world in the ‘Creative Conversations’ program. The pair is already in Los Angeles, getting ready for ‘Creative Conversations’, which will begin on Tuesday morning.

Following the premise of the French ‘salon’, Conversations aims to encourage stimulating, intellectual and enlightening dialogue. The program will also provide the next generation unprecedented access to a unique and diverse group of industry luminaries for one-on-one conversations with unlimited potential outcome. The program will take place at the Encore/Wynn Las Vegas during the week of the 2012 judging sessions.

After the Conversations, Cruz and Dimayuga are expected to turn up at dinner with Neil French, author of Sorry About the Lobsters. The dinner, organized by adobo and LIA in partnership with Creative Guild, will give the pair a chance to ask him questions about his work and the inspiration behind it.

The Young Creatives are selected from worldwide industry associations and the companies that have steadfastly supported LIA throughout the years. The leaders of the Conversations include Ted Royer, Susan Credle, Israel Diaz, Tony Calcao, Jeremy Craigen, Faris Yakob, Paul Lavoie, Neil French, Mark D’Arcy, Phil Growick, Doerte Spengler-Ahern, Bob Garfield, Jonathon Ker, Scott Elias, as well as a few surprise speakers.

LIA has established itself as a revolutionary global leader celebrating creativity, the power of ideas, and new technology in all forms of Advertising and Design. Defining its 27-year history, Barbara Levy, Founder and President of LIA, continues her innovative leadership meeting the demands of our ever-changing industry.
