Visuals with Vision II exhibit celebrates Filipino artistry

PHILIPPINES, SEPTEMBER 1, 2010 – Now on its second year, the Visuals with Vision (VWV) movement of YOCard Freecard serves as a platform for Filipino artistry and pride, as it exhibits postcard artworks on everything positively Pinoy from September 9 to 12 at the Shangri-La Mall, Mandaluyong City.

Hundreds of photographs, illustrations and graphic design executions highlighting Filipino values, heritage and tradition were submitted. Out of these, three artworks will be awarded with PhP 20,000 worth of prizes and print distribution on YOCards for the benefit of non-profit organizations One Tama, Outlook Pointe Foundation and Yabang Pinoy.

Aside from the major winners, Epson’s and Filigrenesia’s choice awards will be given to two finalists which reflects the companies’ search for excellence and ingenuity.

Efren Peňaflorida, the 2009 CNN’s Hero of the Year, leads the panel of judges for the competition along with Inksurge, the local design duo whose works have been exhibited from Singapore to Spain; and the Ideals Creatives team, a youth-led social enterprise whose brainchild Oneline.ph was used as a platform for the submission of entries.

It is hoped that with these visually-enticing pieces, Filipinos will be inspired to take action and be proud. "What young Filipinos can imagine, they can create, and eventually own their unique roles in the continuing story of nation-building. This is an opportunity to open up a creative venue for young people to articulate their dreams and ideas.  And  projects such as Visuals with Vision and Oneline.ph, brings together mission-based organizations and altruistic members of the creative community to design effective, impactful, and creative social communications." said Dang Sering, Project Director of Ideals Creatives.
