HP and Intel launches “Make IT happen” digital campaign

ASIA-PACIFIC – Omnicom Media Group and CBS Interactive recently launched Hewlett-Packard and Intel’s latest regional digital campaign ‘Make IT Happen’, one of the largest commercial campaigns across Asia Pacific, targeting IT Managers through offline events, social media, direct marketing, viral videos, comics, mobile, online advertising, dedicated site and audience research.

A dedicated interactive microsite has been created by Omnicom Media Group in conjunction with CBS Interactive, who is providing and moderating editorial content specific to IT, through its business technology site, ZDNet.

The campaign reaches IT Managers in a unique, fun, light hearted manner, and pays tribute to the challenges faced by IT Managers and works to “humanize” them.

Omnicom Media Group’s PHD worked with creative partner, PMG, to create a special video and comic series to be featured on the site. “The stories told through the series and comics were adapted from real-life situations observed in the office environment.  Each episode is light-hearted and the plots comprise of real-world IT issues, complications and solutions, which is where Harper the IT hero comes in to save the day.” Said Gavin Gibson, Head of Strategy, Omnicom Media Group Asia Pacific.

A total of eight vignettes divided into 56 videos, and 32 comics in three languages – English, Chinese and Korean will be created and rolled out across ZDNet’s six markets
which includes SEA, India, China, Australia, Taiwan and Korea.

Besides the vignettes and comics, ZDNet will also be running a regional CIO Roundtable event series across 12 cities and six markets in Asia Pacific, to be exclusively sponsored by HP & Intel.

The Hewlett Packard and Intel “Make IT Happen” campaign will run until January 2011.  Find out more at http://www.we-makeithappen.com/
