Del Monte continues to celebrate 100 Years of nourishing goodness with all-new Kitchenomics Cookbook

New collection features 100 recipes designed for today's home cooks, honoring a century of culinary legacy

As Del Monte Philippines marks its centennial year, Del Monte Kitchenomics launches A Century of Nourishing Goodness: 100 Best Del Monte Kitchenomics Recipes for Every Home Cook — a special centennial edition cookbook that pays tribute to Filipino families and home kitchens nationwide.

According to Sharon Tanganco, Chief Marketing Officer of Del Monte Philippines, the cookbook offers recipes for every occasion, craving, and moment. “Whether you are pressed for time on a busy weekday or want to prepare something special for your family to celebrate a milestone, this centennial collection was created to give Filipino home cooks the confidence to know they can prepare good food their families will love and enjoy together.”

Available in major bookstores and e-commerce stores nationwide starting February 6, 2026, this treasury of 100 recipes addresses the real challenges of today’s Filipino home cook, from managing budgets and satisfying a family’s taste and nutrition needs to finding time amid busy schedules,” Sharon revealed. “During the 1980s, in a time of economic uncertainty, Del Monte created Kitchenomics as a practical guide to help homemakers stretch budgets without compromising taste or nutrition. It was value marketing before ‘value marketing’ had a name.”

“This year, that legacy comes full circle with the release of the Kitchenomics Centennial Cookbook: a collector’s edition that celebrates generations of Filipino family favorites — honoring the homemakers who once clipped recipes from labels and the new cooks discovering them online.”

Recipes rooted in tradition, reimagined for today

The centennial collection features recipes developed by Chef Meg Victorino, Executive Chef and Head of Culinary Solutions Kitchen of Del Monte Philippines. Chef Meg and her team are in charge of developing the recipes for Kitchenomics. Chef Meg’s experience with Del Monte has given her deep insight into the shared experiences of Filipino home cooks — their cooking habits, how they use recipes, and what challenges they face in their kitchens.

Chef Meg’s keen understanding of home cooks was crucial to the development of the Kitchenomics Centennial Cookbook, which was designed both as a starter guide for budding cooks and a fresh resource for experienced ones.

Other chefs who have been integral to Kitchenomics’ history have likewise contributed to the cookbook: Chef Sandy Daza, who hosted the Del Monte Kitchenomics cooking segment on Eat Bulaga in the 90s; Chef Jackie Ang Po; Chef RV Manabat; and Chef Rob Pengson.

A curated selection of recipes

The recipes in the cookbook were thoughtfully curated so they would connect to a larger story and purpose. They reflect what the chefs believe home cooks would appreciate and enjoy.

Chef Jackie, for instance, always considers young mothers and the dishes they’d want to prepare for their families. On the other hand, Chef RV draws inspiration from his travels and seeks to share his experience with the Kitchenomics community.

Each recipe is designed with nutrition, convenience, and family enjoyment in mind. “This centennial collection was thoughtfully developed to reignite the joy of home cooking by addressing the real pain points of today’s Filipino home cook,” Chef Meg shared. “We understand your everyday challenges: managing budgets, meeting your kids’ tastes, finding time amid busy schedules. This cookbook provides a wide variety of balanced recipes to expand your home menus.”

A Century of Nourishing Goodness: 100 Best Del Monte Kitchenomics Recipes for Every Home Cook is available for PHP 625 at National Book Store, major bookstores, and e-commerce stores nationwide starting February 6, 2026.
