Pizza Hut created shoes that can get you pizza, wherever, whenever

USA – To show people just how easy it is to order pizza, Pizza Hut created limited edition sneakers called “Pie Tops”. It has a button right on the tongue that you just press, which then connects to an app, if you’re craving for pizza wherever you are.

This campaign by Droga5 is part of Pizza Hut’s promotion for March Madness, a series of National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) men’s and women’s basketball tournaments in the US. It also coincides with the chain’s $7.99 2-Topping Pizza promo which runs from March-April, the same time as the tournaments.

In this 30-second commercial, Grant Hill explains how the sneakers designed by Shoe Surgeon works:

However, the sneakers won’t be sold to the public. There are only 64 pairs will be made and given to key influencers.

Pizza Hut has been pulling unconventional stunts like the faux tattoo (with a QR code) that lets you order a pizza from your arm or the pizza box that can be converted into a digital turntable. Makes us ask sometimes, do we really have to tolerate these things? Well, for the love of pizza, maybe we can.
