PLDT Global’s TinBo Mother’s Day campaign resonates worldwide

MANILA, PHILIPPINES – In a stirring tribute to maternal love and the enduring spirit of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), PLDT Global Corporation has captured the hearts of millions with its latest Mother’s Day campaign under its flagship digital platform, Tindahan ni Bossing (TinBo). The initiative, which centers on the emotional bonds shared across continents, underscores PLDT Global’s ongoing commitment to nurturing meaningful connections for Filipino families worldwide.

At the heart of the campaign is a viral video that has amassed over two million views across YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok. It tells the poignant story of a mother and her daughter working overseas highlighting both the pain of separation and the enduring strength of family ties. In doing so, the video showcases how TinBo serves not only as a digital marketplace but as a bridge for emotional connection, enabling Filipinos abroad to send care and support back home with ease.

“Many of our OFWs are women—mothers and daughters who make the ultimate sacrifice of being away from their families to provide a better life,” said Albert V. Villa-Real, President and CEO of PLDT Global, the international arm of the Philippines’ largest fully integrated telco network PLDT Inc. “We honor and celebrate their immeasurable contributions to their loved ones and to our country.”

True to its mission of bringing Filipinos closer together no matter the distance, TinBo didn’t stop at just storytelling. The platform rolled out digital Mother’s Day greeting cards for users making purchases on the app. As a cherry on top, discounts on select e-vouchers from well loved Philippine brands gave OFWs more ways to send a little piece of home with just a few taps.

In collaboration with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), TinBo hosted Araw ng Alaga kay Nanay – a special gift giving event held at OFW Lounges in NAIA Terminals 1 and 3 and the OWWA NCR office. Over 300 OFW moms received care kits and sweet treats in a physical expression of gratitude for their resilience, grit, and endless love.
