Floating billboards on South America coast



SOUTH AMERICA, APRIL 20, 2011 – Amphibious floating billboards have become to surface along the coast and beaches of South America. This new medium allows companies to advertise in any location, especially at beaches, golf courses, driving ranges, parking lots and structures.

Bbi Display systems hold the patent on the amphibious billboard, having made their first display in Pucon Town, Chile for telecommunications company, Entel. The bbi inflatable beach billboard was seen by thousands of tourists and locals on the shoreline. bbi Displays has reached agreements with Grupo Big to represent the product in the South American market.

bbi Display Systems also made their land and water debut in Ecuador. 24′ x 14′ amphibious inflatable signs were pulled by boats along the summer tourism town of Salina. The billboard boats, operated by Imaginarios, featured telecommunications company, Movistar, a division of the Spanish worldwide phone company Telefonica.

Not limited to South America, the patented display systems are now operated in over 60 countries, including the US, Australia, even South Korea and Russia. Brands that have been showcased on these billboards include McDonald’s, Toyota, Honda, Coors, and Keds.
