Hold the mayo. Extra bacon. Double whopper. There are many ways of eating a burger. But there’s only one way of having a Burger King Whopper. Personalized. Wanting to prove that Whoppers are made to order, Burger King, through its agency Ogilvy Brasil, Sao Paulo, set to do just that.
And all it took were a hidden camera and a printer.
When a person ordered a burger, a picture was taken. When their Whopper came, individual faces were printed on the wrap, and served face up.
Fresh and custom-made, it has put a new meaning to the term, “stuffing your face”.
As guest judge of the week for the Best Ads on TV, Marcus Rebeschini, chief creative officer of Y&R Asia, says of the ad, “It’s been a while since
I’ve seen a good strong benefit demonstration ad that made me jealous. Would have loved to experience that at Burger King. Killer stuff.”
