Hair care tops June commercial spots, research says

THE PHILIPPINES, JULY 4, 2012: For the month of June this year, six out of 10 advertisements aired on local channels were about shampoo or conditioner products with Sunsilk topping the list.
 
The study, conducted by Kantar Media and presented by general manager Gabriel Buluran, surveyed over 72 millions kids, teens, and adult viewers with viewing habits of 4-5 hours a day in the urban and rural Philippines. Other hair care brands included in the list are Palmolive, Clear, Creamsilk, and Head & Shoulders.
 
Trending ice cream product Magnum leads the list of non-hair care commercial spots. Surf , Globe, and Close-up completes the top 10 list.
 
The study, which cvoers 8.8 million urban homes and 6.3 million rural homes, also found out that close to 600 minutes of advertisements are being aired during prime time (6pm- 10:30pm) which totals to close to 1,600 ad spots for the month of June.
 
The study also showed its June 2012 ratings which revealed ABS-CBN’s TV drama series "Walang Hanggan" as the top primetime show nationwide with 12 million Filipino viewers with a 25.12 percent rating. Meanwhile, GMA 7’s "The Good Daughter" occupies the top spot for day time programming with ratings of 10.42 percent.
