New Business: Social leisure activity platform Frip names Essence as integrated media agency of record in South Korea

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA– Essence, a global data and measurement-driven media agency which is part of GroupM, today announced that it has been appointed as the integrated media agency of record for social leisure activity platform Frientrip (Frip) in South Korea. Led out of Essence’s Seoul office, the agency’s mandate includes media planning and activation for Frip’s brand and performance marketing campaigns.

Founded in 2013 in South Korea, Frip is a social leisure activity platform that connects people with similar interests to a variety of recreational activities, ranging from one-day classes to outdoor, sports, arts and hobby programmes. Based on the idea that starting something becomes much easier when surrounded by like-minded people, Frip has revolutionised leisure and travel culture, inspiring people to experience the world, and filling lives with happiness, energy and vitality. Over the years, Frip has travelled with hundreds of thousands of friends.
