ALREADY RELEASED
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
Release Date: February 13, 2026
The world is abuzz with the recently released Wuthering Heights movie starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi. Hardly a surprise, considering the book itself was controversial: shocking polite and genteel society back when it was published in the 1840s. Ahead of the release, critics have praised the movie for being “intoxicating, transcendent, tantalizing, bewitching, hypnotic”, a “rip-roaring, bodice-ripping crowd pleaser.” Variety praised the director, “only Emerald (Fennell) could take a classic, turn it on its head, and make you feel completely in lust, and then utterly destroy your soul.”
People We Meet on Vacation by Emily Henry
Began streaming on Netflix last January 6, 2026
Whether you’re a romance girlie or not, Emily Henry’s People We Meet on Vacation is sure to win you over. The feel-good rom-com about two best friends who take decades of vacationing together to realize they’re in love has been praised by movie critics as a sweet, fun, and charming film with strong performances by Tom Blyth and Emily Bader.
The Housemaid by Freida McFadden

Shortly after the book’s release in 2022, The Housemaid became a monster hit. It tells the story of a down-on-her-luck ex-convict who gets hired as a housemaid by a wealthy couple. Just days into her new job, things turn awry as it becomes increasingly clear her employers are hiding dark secrets. Released in Philippine theaters last January 8, The Housemaidhas received praise from viewers for being a “wildly entertaining,” “twisty,” and “schlocky” thriller that successfully brought the hit book to life.
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Released November 7, 2025 on Netflix
The “master of monsters” gave the world’s first science fiction novel a screen adaptation treatment late last year, and it was definitely one for the books. Guillermo del Toro’s adaptation has been hailed as “electrifying” and “mesmerizing,” a “deeply romantic and darkly addictive gothic fantasy” that preserves the lifeblood of Shelley’s original work while creating something entirely its own. Featuring a star-studded cast led by Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, and Christopher Waltz.
UPCOMING / IN THE WORKS
Hamnet by Maggie O’ Farrell
Releasing on February 18, 2026, in the Philippines, exclusively in Ayala Malls Cinemas
Published in 2020, Hamnet is a historical fiction tale about William Shakespeare, his wife, Agnes, and their mourning of the death of their 11-year-old son, Hamnet. This unbearable loss and tragedy is said to have inspired the creation of Hamlet, Shakespeare’s first masterpiece, and arguably the greatest tragedy in English literature.
Bringing such an inward, intimate novel to the screen was no small feat. Director Chloé Zhao, drawn to the story’s emotional undercurrents, persuaded O’Farrell to co-write the screenplay. The result is Hamnet (2025), a “beautiful, moving, sweeping, and emotionally staggering film” (ScriptMag) that has already made its mark as a major 2026 awards contender, taking home Best Motion Picture – Drama and Best Actress for Jessie Buckley at the Golden Globes.
