For decades, Adarna House has brought Filipino folklore, history, and traditions to life through beautifully illustrated children’s books, inviting generations of young readers to discover classic tales like Ibong Adarna, Florante at Laura, and other Adarna House creations.

Through its new partnership with Canva Philippines, Adarna House is bringing these stories beyond the pages of its books and into Canva’s creative library.

The new Adarna House Creative Library on Canva launches with a curated selection of printable pages from activity books including Sanayang Adarna, Kaya Kong Magsulat!, and Kaya Kong Gumuhit!. Designed for activities like coloring, writing, drawing, and simple learning exercises, the collection gives users a taste of Adarna’s beloved titles directly on Canva. Illustrated elements from Sanayang Adarna will also be available for Canva users to remix into their own designs.

For educators, this opens up new ways to make learning more engaging and culturally resonant, while giving students the chance to explore familiar Filipino stories and imagery through creative activities.

The first collection is just the beginning. Upcoming releases will expand into book-report guides, reading activities, classroom resources, and more templates from Ibong Adarna and Florante & Laura that bring Filipino stories into learning and everyday creativity.

“Unlocking creativity starts in the classroom and at home. When learning feels personal, kids feel able to explore new ideas and celebrate who they are,” said Canva Philippines Country Manager Laura Kantor.

“This first-of-its-kind partnership brings Adarna House’s catalog to Canva, giving educators and families new ways to explore Filipino folklore and spark creativity in the next generation of learners. We can’t wait to see the ideas and activities this inspires, from classroom lessons to creative sessions that parents and kids can enjoy together.”

For Adarna House, bringing its stories and characters to a platform like Canva offers another way to connect with audiences and keep Filipino storytelling relevant in an evolving creative landscape.

“Our mission is to keep Filipino culture alive through storytelling and touch lives across generations,” said Adarna House President Asa Montenejo.

“Canva was the natural partner for us because it’s where educators and students already create every day. The platform is accessible, easy to use, and built for exactly this kind of creativity. Partnering with Canva means our stories don’t just stay on a page; they become lessons, projects, and keepsakes that generations of Filipino learners can shape for themselves.”

The new Adarna House elements and customizable templates are now available to all through the Adarna House Creative Library on Canva.

The collaboration will also come to life offline at the Manila International Book Fair from September 9 to 13. Visitors to the Adarna House and Canva Philippines booth can explore the latest book collection, take part in design challenges using Adarna templates, and take home customized Canva merchandise.

The Adarna House partnership is the latest step in Canva’s commitment to making the platform feel truly local for Filipinos. Alongside its nationwide partnership with DepEd, it reflects Canva’s continued investment in making creativity and learning more accessible, relevant, and distinctly Filipino.
