Esports: RSG PH wins the MPL Philippines Season 9

MANILA, PHILIPPINES — RSG PH came off victorious in a best-of-seven (BO7) series against Smart Omega at the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Philippines (MPL-PH) Season 9. The Kingslayers ended the match with a dominant run, defeating Smart Omega (4-1) in the grand finals held at SMX Convention Center, May 1.

“I am immensely proud of the team for their hard work. In every match, we make sure to give our best. As their coach, I am thrilled to finally see them compete in a bigger arena this coming MSC 2022,” said Coach Brian “Panda” Lim in a post-match interview.

On the same night, RSG PH’s Exp-laner Nathanael “Nathzz” Estrologo was declared the Grand Final MVP after showcasing an outstanding performance in the playoffs. On the other hand, Dylan “Light” Catipon was the Regular Season MVP.

In June, Both RSG PH and Smart Omega will be the Philippines’ representatives to the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) 2022 that will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The team will vie for the title and take home a combined prize pool of USD 300,000.

Singapore-based RSG PH is the first foreign-owned team to win an MPL Philippines title. The team had only competed for two seasons in the MPL-PH which is considered as one of the strongest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional Leagues in the world.

RSG operates across Southeast Asia and established itself in creating various professional esports teams in leading game titles including Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB).

In the Philippines, its exclusive professional esports athletes and talents include Elyson “Ghost Wrecker” Caranza, Clarence Angelo “Onepipti” Santos, Leon “Nix” Gutierrez, and streamer Louis Dior “Boss Lucio” Teves.

RSG PH is set to provide gaming and esports content through marketing collaborations, game promotions, and brand collaborations with different game titles and publishers.
