Brand & Business: Wavemaker PH Makes a Splash at the MSAP Media Congress and ICE Awards with Presentations and a Mountain of Accolades

Wavemaker continues its upward surge, making its presence felt in the country’s annual Media Congress, hosted by the Media Specialists Association of the Philippines (MSAP).

Adel Tuason, Managing Partner of Wavemaker, served as Program Committee Head for this year’s celebration, which marked the association’s 10th anniversary.

Rose Huskey, SEA CEO of Wavemaker, was a panelist in the C-Suites Breakout Session. Alongside Puneet Arora, GroupM’s CEO for Philippines, Thailand and Singapore, and Vishnu Mohan, Havas’ CEO India & South East Asia, she discussed the challenges of the media industry in the region, the developing capabilities around prevailing opportunities, and its impact on the Philippine market. 


Later in the day, Rose was also a keynote speaker, tackling diversity and inclusion in agency structures. She highlighted the importance of creating teams that ‘do not think alike’ and wider gender representation to drive higher productivity among media agencies.

David Yulo, Creative Director of Wavemaker Philippines, was also selected as one of the 10 Outstanding Young Media Professionals in the Industry. In the “Under 30” Breakout Session, he shared his experiences, challenges and learnings to fellow industry up-and-comers.

The Media Congress concluded with the MSAP Ice Awards ceremony, where Wavemaker PH bagged a staggering 19 awards, spread across all categories, such as Data, Activations, Branded Content, Digital, Multimedia and Not-For-Profit Campaigns; including a gold award for their brand-building efforts on Digital for Huggies. To cap off an extremely successful stretch, Wavemaker PH was also awarded the Best in Effectiveness award, further cementing their reputation as a performance and results-driven agency.
