JWT, O&M networks clean up at Asian effectiveness awards

Last week’s Asian Marketing Effectiveness Awards saw Leo Burnett Sydney take Platinum for WWF’s grand-slamming ‘Earth Hour’ campaign.  JWT received three Golds: for JWT India’s Times of India ‘Lead India’ campaign, JWT Japan’s interactive ‘Schick 3D Beard Simulator’ (pictured) and JWT Vietnam’s sales promotion for Knorr.  Also ringing the cash registers are TBWA-ISC Malaysia’s ‘Malaysia: Truly Asia’ campaign, Proximity Live for ‘Fendi off the wall,’ OgilvyAction for BAT Japan’s ‘Kool Boost: revolutionise the ritual,’ and Ogilvy & Mather for Cadbury India.

Meanwhile, UK’s prestigious Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA) Effectiveness Awards has shortlisted work from two Asian shops: O&M Beijing’s ‘Moto-Tribe,’ which made over Motorola’s market share along with its image, and O&M Vietnam’s helmet awareness campaign, which sped up national legislation for helmet-wearing and saved approximately 38 lives per day since.   Head to  www.ipaeffectivenessawards.co.uk to see more.
